In Memory of: Harley Young Nov 3, 1949 - Aug 28, 2026

Anyone who new Harley, knows how proud he was of his "girls". And no, they are not Triple Crown winners Like Trudy Mays' great, great, grandfather, Seattle Slew. They are not the most expensive brood mares out there; and they are not the envy of the equine world. But they were his pride and joy. And that alone was enough to make them priceless.

Shortly before his passing, he made sure to pass them on to me with his only request being that I try to keep them together as long as possible. I promised him I would do everything I could though I had no idea how I would be able to fulfill that promise. 

Then, out of nowhere, I was blessed by the Lord.  And, with a special thank you to his wife Jan, the true love of his life, he will always be with us enjoying his farm and his "GIRLS".

With her blessing, Tangled Oak Farm,  was also passed on to me. And under my new ownership,  and in keeping with our promise to him, Tangled Oak will continue to be home to Harley Young's Trudy Mae, Queen of Drama, and Testimonial. 

With that said, We need to recognize that there was a small team of people behind Tangled Oak. And for what it's worth, I want to thank Christine, Linda, Savannah, Aaron, and of course, Chad and anyone else who may have handled the "girls" for him at some point. You will always be welcomed here.
